Glacier is a mature robotic sortation start-up with existing investment and a real-world validated product. The team has a late-stage prototype and waiting on funding to deploy robots at two Michigan materials recovery facilities (MRF). Through the programming, the team continued to test their technology, connected with two MRFs – RRRASOC and SOCRRA, as well as EGLE and Centrepolis Accelerator, and doubled their team. In May 2022, Glacier raised $4.5 million in seed funding with the help of New Enterprise Associated (NEA) in a round of funding. They continue to search for additional MRFs, municipalities, brands, or manufacturers to support future pilots in different climates.
