APPLICATION PERIOD - ACCELERATOR
NextCycle Michigan Opens Application for Next Accelerator Cohort
NextCycle Michigan is opening another application period, this time seeking projects in two categories: (1) public-led projects developing or scaling material recovery programs and infrastructure, and (2) projects led by private sector, higher education or nonprofit entities that are focused on filling gaps in material collection, recovered material processing, or end markets for reusable/recyclable materials in Michigan.
The free six-month accelerator provides coaching to advance projects toward implementation, filling gaps and strengthening Michigan’s circular economy. Projects must focus on material reuse, repair, recycling, recovery, or the use of recycled content in new products.
Interested organizations have an opportunity to attend a virtual information meeting on February 24 (register HERE), to ask questions and engage with program facilitators and alumni teams.
Deadline for applications is March 25, 2026. Learn more and download the information packet at www.NextCycleMichigan.com/apply.
APPLICATION PERIOD - CIRCULAR ECONOMY GRANTS
Apply Now for Michigan Circular Economy Grants
NextCycle Michigan and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) have opened the application period for the 2026 Circular Economy Grants. These grants support the development of circular supply chains – the collection, processing, manufacturing, and use of recycled and organic materials – that fill gaps and strengthen Michigan’s circular economy.
The grants, ranging from $50,000-$250,000, can make a huge impact on implementing reuse, repair, remanufacturing, recycling, and other solutions that utilize otherwise wasted material streams.
Public, private and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply. The grants are focused on addressing a broad range of otherwise wasted materials, including plastics, C&D material, metals, tires, electronic waste, batteries, mattresses, food scraps, textiles, glass, paint, wind turbines, and other materials that can be captured in Michigan.
Interested organizations have an opportunity to attend a virtual information meeting on February 10 (register HERE), where they can ask questions and engage with program facilitators and alumni teams.
Deadline for applications is March 13, 2026. Learn more, register for the information session, and apply at www.nextcyclemichigan.com/circular-economy-grants.
