The Team: Food Rescue US is a nonprofit team led by experienced community organizers and sustainability professionals, working in partnership with local governments and social service agencies across the Lansing region to deliver perishable excess food from commercial donors to agencies fighting hunger.

NextCycle Michigan Project: The project aims to expand their food rescue system that uses volunteers and a web-based platform to redirect and divert surplus perishable food. During NextCycle Michigan, the team aims to triple the amount of food rescued, form a community advisory council, and partner with additional municipalities and counties.
