The Team: The Delta Solid Waste Management Authority is the public body responsible for managing solid waste (trash and recycling) services for all residents, businesses, and municipalities within Delta County, Michigan. Delta County, located in the Upper Peninsula, is home to over 36,000 residents.
NextCycle Michigan Project: The team plans to expand its tipping floor space at its material recovery facility (MRF) to accommodate increased recyclable materials from surrounding counties and improve regional recovery. During NextCycle, the project team plans to finalize expansion plans for the MRF, explore the addition of a new drop-off site, and advance outreach and education efforts to improve the quality and quantity of recyclables collected across the region.
