The Team: Pivot Point is a nonprofit based in Midland, MI, with a diverse team dedicated to sustainability, workforce development, and community empowerment. NextCycle Michigan Project: Pivot Point collects and refurbishes household appliances to provide affordable goods to low-income individuals while promoting recycling and reducing landfill waste. The program also creates job opportunities by training individuals with employment barriers in appliance repair. As part of NextCycle Michigan, the team aims to secure a new facility, enhance operational efficiency, expand partnerships for greater appliance reclamation, and invest in better tools and equipment to increase their environmental and social impact.
