The Team: The project team is led by Resourceful Recycling, an experienced recycling and waste hauling company, located in Chesaning, MI. Great Lakes Fusion/Great Lakes Resource Recovery, located in Durand, MI, will serve as the compost facility partner. Together, the team brings strong expertise in waste management, organics processing, and local community engagement, supported by connections with healthcare, education, and nonprofit partners throughout Shiawassee County and the region.

NextCycle Michigan Project: The team aims to pilot and scale a curbside compost and food waste pickup service for residents and businesses in Shiawassee County, Michigan. The project targets food scraps, kitchen waste, yard waste, and other organic materials that currently end up in landfills. During their time in NextCycle Michigan, the team will establish operational partnerships, connect with community and business targets, and identify funding pathways.
