Build to Scale TEchnical Assistance

NextCycle Michigan in collaboration with the Centrepolis Accelerator at Lawrence Technological University is pleased to announce the availability of technical assistance to support disadvantaged communities and businesses in advancing the circular economy in Michigan! This activity is an extension of the NextCycle Michigan programming and is funded by an Economic Development Association (EDA) Build to Scale grant and the State Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). This opportunity for direct technical assistance will run through September 2025.


  • Connecting with businesses and communities to advance circular economy work

  • Cost modeling or feasibility analysis

  • Organizational or business strategic planning

  • Entrepreneur coaching

  • Greenhouse gas analysis (for a product, program, service, or process)

  • Manufacturing readiness support

  • Material supply assessment

  • Product development support

  • Product lab testing and validation

  • Waste characterization study and recovery assessment 

  • Material collection

  • Material processing

  • Owner’s engineer work, procurement, specification development, vendor selection, project implementation and commissioning

  • Public engagement, project development and facilitation
