The Team: The Detroit Training Center (DTC) offers workforce development and training classes in construction, manufacturing, and transportation for Wayne County residents. The DTC is leading the initiative, Groundbreak: Reuse Integration Training (GRIT), with partners from organizations involved in demolition salvage, material reuse, and skilled trades training.

NextCycle Michigan Project: GRIT aims to teach construction and demolition material reuse, including deconstruction techniques, salvaged concrete applications, site safety, as well as the financial and aesthetic value in reused materials to contractors, builders, and skilled laborers. During NextCycle Michigan, the team will refine its business plan, develop metric tracking tools, connect with partners, and identify funding pathways.
