Creating a circular recycling solution for industrial waste powder coatings

Innovakote is a growing startup with a novel technology process to recycle industrial powder coating material. During the NextCycle program, the team successfully supplied recycled powder coating to all the large furniture manufacturers in Michigan. They improved their storytelling and pitching to provide a better understanding of their noval technology. Now, Innovakote is ready to move out of the pilot phase and bring its product to other industries like the automotive industry. Its primary focus is expanding its market share and obtaining additional market exposure. In May 2022, Innovakote won the WateExpo Pitch Slam. The pitch competition featured teams from both NextCycle Michigan and NextCycle Colorado all with projects ready to create new pathways to a circular economy.
