NextCycle Michigan will be featured during two sessions at the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Environmental Compliance Week.
Sep 23, 10:00 am - 10:45 am: EGLE’s Upcoming Sustainability and Clean Energy Programs for COMMUNITIES
Learn about current and upcoming sustainability and clean energy programs offered by EGLE's Materials Management Division (MMD) to communities across Michigan to improve the environment and help drive energy waste reduction efforts in the public sector. This session will focus on technical assistance, funding opportunities and stakeholder convenings for community involvement, energy waste reduction, recycling, and pollution prevention, and how to take advantage of these programs. This session will break out into 3 team rooms:
Energy (community programs/2030/Climate);
Recycling (recycling infrastructure, market development and next cycle)
Pollution Prevention (community engagement and future work)

Learn about current and upcoming sustainability and clean energy programs offered by MMD to businesses across Michigan to improve the environment and help drive energy waste reduction efforts in the private sector.
The session will focus on technical assistance, funding opportunities and stakeholder convenings for clean energy manufacturing, energy waste reduction, next cycle economy, and pollution prevention, and how to take advantage of these programs. This session will address questions on programs related to:
Energy waste reduction (CEM, codes, clean manufacturing assistance)
Source reduction audits
Next cycle economy
