2025 REGIONAL WORKSHOP SERIES:

The Business of Recycling & Local Economic Development

Michigan’s material supply chain is changing. Recycled materials are growing as a key feedstock source for manufacturing new products in the Great Lakes region. Michigan’s businesses and communities are coming together to expand recycling opportunities, supply local end markets, and create jobs.

Join local entrepreneurs, business leaders, community representatives, and recycling professionals at one of the regional workshops nearest you. Participate in discussions on recycling initiatives, economic development, and opportunities to strengthen the circular economy in your part of Michigan.

Four workshops are organized throughout Michigan, each running from 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
• Oct 7: Northern Michigan (Gaylord)
• Oct 29: Bay Region/Thumb (Frankenmuth)
• Nov 19: West Michigan (Allendale)
• Dec 9: Southeast Michigan (Ann Arbor)
Please stay tuned for an Upper Peninsula Workshop in 2026!

Registration is FREE. However, space is limited. Register now to reserve your spot for the workshop in your area.

The 2025 Regional Workshops are hosted by NextCycle Michigan in collaboration with the Michigan Recycling Coalition.
