Urban Ashes is seeking to develop a model for urban wood recovery and utilization at a municipal scale to capture value, reduce GHG emissions and provide jobs for returning citizens. During the track experience, Urban Ashes worked to hone and refine its business model to allow it to scale to other interested municipalities within the region. The company also was able to make valuable connections with potential supply chain partners and possible funders. Urban Ashes is currently pursuing funding to execute the plan in Ann Arbor / Washtenaw County.
