Michigan Soft Drink Association

The Michigan Soft Drink Association (MSDA) is a non-profit trade organization representing the producers and distributors of carbonated soft drink beverages who have a manufacturing operations in Michigan. 100% of the soft drink containers sold in Michigan are recyclable and covered under Michigan’s Deposit Law. The year before the Corona Virus pandemic, 2019, 89% of all single-serve soft drink beverage containers were reported to be returned to stores and recycled through retail-based container return programs. That return rate is partially inflated by the importation of out of state beverages on which a deposit is not initiated.
